Case Studies

We have identified eight case studies that illustrate the diversity of strategies needed to ensure SRHR in a changing climate. These range from advocacy to service delivery to innovative financing instruments. The case studies were identified through a global survey distributed to key stakeholders and climate, gender, and SRHR community email lists. Case studies were then refined through in-depth interviews with the implementing organizations.

Most of these programs are still “in-flight.” Given the nascency of programming at this intersection, as of August 2024, there are few (if any) examples of climate-SRHR programs that have been scaled and rigorously evaluated. However, these examples serve as solutions-oriented inspiration for further investment and innovation to achieve a future where people of all genders can thrive.
