Opportunities for Integrated Climate, SRHR, and Gender Investments

Investments are needed in every area of health and health systems to avert the impacts of climate change. It is imperative that these investments are done in a participatory, intersectional, and locally-responsive manner, advancing the leadership and participation of all community members – especially women and girls –  at every step of the way.

We have identified seven investment areas, building on the WHO framework for climate resilient health systems. Within each, we provide investment ideas, sample metrics, and case studies to provide illustrative examples of pathways towards a healthier and more resilient future for all.
